George Moran caught the first reported Bluefish on MVY Tuesday at the Wasque Rip –a 3 to 4 lb class fish. I had to go to America on business for the day yesterday [ Wednesday] and I received many cell phone reports that the Blues came in big-time with large numbers of Gannets shacking on Squid in the Rip. I’ll have a firsthand report tonight. Meanwhile, after Don McGilvary’s first schoolie Striper of 18” [ with lice] from Quansoo two weeks ago, the schoolies are found at all the typical early season locations—right fork, left fork, the Rip, etc. More later.
