Cape and Islands - April 30, 2010

Report Date: Cape and Islands - April 30, 2010

The wind over the last few days slowed the action down. However, schoolies at Wasque, Quansoo and Tashmoo with an occasional keeper. Bucktails and soft baits are the most consistent producers.

Over in America, more keepers in the canal. Bucktails and soft bait again.

Blues showed up in Buzzards Bay and south Cape Beach in the last few days. Of note is the canal - it is hot on occasion with no pattern of the time a day.

The Rhode Island scene is even better with larger bass Charlstown Breachway; one sport caught five keepers on one outing. Plenty of big bunker around to keep the bass there.

Schoolies at the wall; schoolies and steelhead (sea-run rainbow trout) at the cemetery, also winter flounder in the Pond.

With this weekend’s favorably weather forecast, there should be good fishing all over the Southern N.E. costal region.

Stock up on your Roberts’s for the Blues.

Bob Wasque.
